Rock the Runway Fashion Show
Where fashion meets higher purpose in support of SickKids Foundation
Rock the Runway fashion show has boldly demonstrated the philanthropic impact that fashion can have. In what can only be described as an unforgettable evening, the event in support of SickKids Foundation brought together fashion, beauty, entertainment, business, and media professionals from all over Toronto.
Showcasing menswear, womenswear, and children’s wear, the fundraiser held on August 6 evolved into a fashion and networking event with a purpose far beyond the runway. Sarah Tahseen, Executive Producer and Creator of Rock the Runway™, and Founder of Rock the Runway™ for SickKids, channeled awareness and funds for children and families receiving care at SickKids.
Forged in Resilience
At the heart of the production was a mother’s fierce devotion. Following her daughter Livia’s major surgery for severe scoliosis, Sarah experienced firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and recovery alongside her child.
Sarah shared “When your child is going through something like that, you would do anything to take their pain away. As a mother, all I could do was be beside my daughter, stay strong for her, and trust the incredible people caring for her. That experience never left me.”
Rock the Runway was built by Sarah years later to give back to the hospital and community that carried them through, cementing itself as an essential chapter of her daughter’s journey. The platform is dedicated to raising awareness and supporting those in SickKids’ care and recovery through fashion and entertainment.
Sarah partnered with Jason St. Louis, COO of Rock the Runway, to help bring the event for SickKids to life. His partnership became essential to the development and execution of the fundraising initiative. Together, they worked to unite industry professionals for launches, shows, and networking opportunities engineered to support families and children.
Mobilizing Toronto Creatives
Expanding beyond the catwalk, the evening delivered live entertainment, art, food and beverages, and a silent auction with proceeds supporting the Toronto-based organization. An expansive network of high-profile sponsors, vendors, designers, models, performers, media personalities, and business leaders rallied together to amplify the meaningful cause.
Its signature message has always been “We don’t just walk the runway… we ROCK THE RUNWAY.” That philosophy has expanded to transform an ordinary runway into a platform bringing an entire industry together. The evening demonstrated the power of a shared purpose that proves fashion can entertain, connect people, and fuel philanthropy.
Embodying style, community, collective action, resilient families, and most importantly, a mother’s love for her daughter, the high-energy showcase fused fashion with larger purpose. What began as a mother standing by her daughter evolved into a platform where fashion meets impact.
