Unique Fashion Show Brings Global Fashion, Art and Sustainability to New York Fashion Week

Nine international designers, sustainability, art and cultural exchange come together in Manhattan for the latest edition of Unique Fashion Show.

This September, New York Fashion Week will welcome a fashion experience extending far beyond the traditional runway. On September 13, Unique Fashion Show will bring its international platform to Manhattan, gathering more than 600 guests from the worlds of fashion, art, business, technology, media, education and diplomacy at Christian Church on Park Avenue.

Organized by the France-based Unique Fashion Foundation Association, the event has developed into a multidisciplinary platform where fashion intersects with art, sustainability, technology and cultural exchange. Following nine editions across Europe and the United States, its New York presentation continues the organization’s mission of connecting emerging and established creative voices with international audiences and new markets.

A Global Runway in New York

At the centre of the 2026 edition will be an international runway programme featuring designers from the United States, Kazakhstan, Europe and Latin America, each bringing a distinct creative and cultural perspective to New York.

French lingerie house THE AUDACE PARIS will bring its approach to luxury lingerie, combining French craftsmanship, refined materials and jewellery-inspired details with a contemporary interpretation of femininity.

From Germany, Lady Suits by Emmely Roloff will explore women’s tailoring through architectural silhouettes and technical precision, balancing sculptural construction with sustainable craftsmanship.

Kazakhstan will have a particularly strong presence throughout the programme. TURSUNKULOV, led by designer Timur Tursunkulov, translates elements of Kazakh cultural heritage into contemporary haute couture, reinterpreting traditional ornamentation and craftsmanship through modern silhouettes and refined tailoring.

Volskaya Atelier, an international fashion brand from Kazakhstan and recipient of a UNESCO award in Paris in 2023, will present a youth-focused collection centred on freedom, confidence and individuality.

Designer Raushan Anuarbekova will offer another perspective on Kazakh heritage, reimagining traditional clothing through a contemporary lens. Her work draws particular inspiration from the Kazakh grandmother as a symbol of wisdom, elegance and enduring grace.

The programme will also welcome Tajikistan Fashion Week, founded by Tokhir Ibragimov, presenting designer Mahin Olimzoda, whose work brings elements of Tajik cultural heritage into conversation with contemporary fashion.

Representing the United States, ARA Art and Design Studio, founded by Sanaz Masoumi, approaches fashion through textile artistry, sculptural design and cultural storytelling. Handcrafted techniques and experimental textiles form a dialogue between heritage and innovation.

Beyond the Runway

Fashion may sit at the centre of the evening, but the programme has been conceived as a broader cultural experience.

Alongside the runway presentations, guests will encounter an international showroom, networking sessions, media interviews and a Sustainable Fashion Panel, bringing questions surrounding the future of responsible fashion into the conversation.

The event will also expand into music and visual art. New York City Opera will present special performances during both parts of the evening, while Los Angeles-based artist Robert Vargas will create a live art performance. Contemporary figurative artist Lilit Gevorgyan, whose work has been exhibited across Europe and Asia, will also be part of the artistic programme.

The evening will additionally host the ART E$TATE International Awards, further connecting fashion with the wider international creative community.

Looking Toward the Future of Sustainable Fashion

One of the most significant initiatives surrounding this year’s edition is the launch of the International Sustainable Fashion Contest 2026, organized in partnership with Sustainable Fashion Week US and Inside Fashion Design.

With applications now open and winners set to be announced during Milan Fashion Week 2027, the initiative extends the event’s focus beyond a single evening in New York, creating another international platform for designers working toward a more sustainable future for fashion.

It reflects the wider vision behind Unique Fashion Show. Founded by Gita Dzhavid, the platform operates across New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, connecting designers, brands, cultural institutions, technology companies, investors and media through an increasingly global creative network.

As fashion continues to move beyond geographical and disciplinary boundaries, Unique Fashion Show New York 2026 positions the runway as only one part of the conversation — bringing together clothing, craftsmanship, culture, sustainability and art within a single New York Fashion Week experience.
