Merry, an artist based in Halle (Saale), Germany, has a creative direction that follows the idea that “no one is perfect”—because nobody really is. Merry loves fashion and appreciates style for what it is, but is more attracted to showcasing clothing choices as an authentic way to say, “This is who I am.”

Between the collaborative efforts of model Marie Christin Steinmetz and photographer Carlitos Granados, the team created a photo saga showcasing the beauty of being captured in an image, caught off guard, being yourself, and embracing uniqueness.

With spontaneous and random photo shoots, the photo collection of fashion and personality was born. The series of pictures isn’t about preparing for a shoot, getting dolled up, and planning how to pose, but rather reflecting the real version of yourself. Every flaw and imperfection adds to the value of the shot.

Merry draws inspiration from an actor, whose work helped shape her vision of finding strength in vulnerability and imperfection. Having experienced bullying in her youth, she carries a deep understanding that worth is not something to be proven—it is already there.

“We live in a world that constantly tells us how to look, think, and live,” Merry reflects. “But true beauty doesn’t lie in fitting in—it lies in the courage to be different.”
