Fashion Vibes Milano Presents The Next Chapter During Milan Women’s Fashion Week

Four international designers will present their Spring/Summer 2027 collections in Milan, exploring the future of the human form, cultural memory, female identity, and the dialogue between traditions.

On September 24, Fashion Vibes Milano will present The Next Chapter — SS’27 during Milan Women’s Fashion Week. This season, four international designers — ISFERRA, Rovel Hagos, HELENA D’OR, and Milagros Ancheita — will come together on one runway, each offering a distinct perspective on contemporary fashion and where it might be heading next.

The Next Chapter is conceived as more than a sequence of runway presentations. Together, the four collections form a narrative that moves from the future to the past, from personal identity to cultural dialogue. Technology, heritage, femininity, and craftsmanship become different ways of exploring transformation through clothing.

ISFERRA — Nova Era

The first chapter looks to the future.

With Nova Era, ISFERRA explores the human body through anatomical geometry, minimalism, and engineered construction. Rather than simply following the natural silhouette, the collection reimagines it, transforming clothing into a form of architecture around the body.

Composite materials, polymers, technological textiles, and experimental surfaces create sculptural, three-dimensional volumes. At the heart of the collection is a question not only of how we might dress in the future, but of what the human form itself might become.

Nova Era imagines a space in which technology, nature, and aesthetics are no longer opposing forces, but coexist in a new equilibrium.

Rovel Hagos — The Women Before Me

From the future, The Next Chapter turns toward memory.

Australian-based designer Rovel Hagos dedicates The Women Before Me to her mother and to generations of women whose strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love often remain outside the stories that are formally recorded.

White becomes a canvas for memory, interrupted by graphic black elements. Monumental proportions and sculptural constructions evoke both protection and armour.

The personal is intertwined with the cultural. References to Eritrean and Ethiopian textile traditions enter contemporary silhouettes through specialised techniques and handcrafted surfaces. The collection becomes more than an exploration of heritage; it offers a way of preserving the stories of the women who shaped the generations that followed them.

HELENA D’OR — Fases

While Rovel Hagos looks to those who came before us, Brazilian independent label HELENA D’OR turns its attention to who we become over time.

Fases explores the different identities a woman inhabits throughout her life. Desire, strength, vulnerability, and transformation are not treated as opposites, but as elements that can exist simultaneously within the same person.

Architectural tailoring meets a conceptual approach to form. Black, burgundy, and off-white create a restrained palette, while leather, cold wool, and silk introduce a contrast between structure and lightness, protection and fragility.

In Fases, clothing becomes a language for the transformations that shape not only how a woman appears, but how she understands herself.

Milagros Ancheita — Baroc-Corazón

The final chapter shifts from personal memory to an encounter between cultures.

With Baroc-Corazón, designer Milagros Ancheita, together with Giovanni Petrillo, brings the theatrical richness of Italian Baroque into dialogue with Mexican cultural heritage.

Italian tailoring meets hand embroidery and traditional textile techniques connected to Huichol and Chamula Indigenous communities and Tehuana artisans from the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

Vibrant colours, crystals, hand-painted fabrics, embroidered lace, precious stones, sculptural volumes, and theatrical headpieces create an expressive couture world within The Next Chapter.

Created in Italy by Italian seamstresses and Mexican master artisans, the collection turns the process of making clothing into a form of cultural exchange. Here, craftsmanship becomes more than an aesthetic element; it serves as a way of preserving traditions and carrying them forward to future generations.

The four collections ask distinctly different questions.

Nova Era looks ahead, imagining what the human form might become. The Women Before Me turns toward the women and traditions that shape who we are today. Fases considers identity as an ongoing process of transformation. Baroc-Corazón explores what can emerge when different cultures and traditions of craftsmanship meet.

These contrasts form the foundation of The Next Chapter, where future and memory, technology and craftsmanship, personal identity and cultural heritage meet within the same space.

Rather than offering a single answer to where fashion is heading next, Fashion Vibes Milano presents four possible perspectives, expressed through four distinctly different creative languages.
