Fashion Editor Purse Essentials

There are certain non-negotiable items that I always carry around with me, regardless of the occasion or hour of day. Whether that’s a lipstick touch-up or a quick spray of perfume, I love looking and feeling my best at all times. Organization is also key; editors need structure in their schedules, and that includes having a tidy bag. Or if you thrive on chaos, you could just throw everything inside your purse at random and call it a day, but here’s what works for me.
Starting off strong with the Benetint Liquid Lip + Cheek Blush Stain in the shade Dark Cherry. I absolutely adore this product because it will literally stay on all day and is completely transfer-proof. This shade I also find to be the most natural looking compared to the other brighter colours, so it makes a fantastic lip liner that you don’t have to worry about reapplying later on. The sheerest amount goes a long way, so while the bottle itself is quite small, this product will last a long time.
A claw clip is a must, I mean, it’s the solution to all of my bad hair days and can transform any bedhead into a messy-chic updo. I can style my hair in so many ways, and sometimes I need to keep it out of my face when I’m trying to focus.

For the fashion girl aesthetic, a designer cardholder is a must-have, but any dainty, cute one will do. My sister gifted me a Kate Spade cardholder, which is now my wallet, and it fits everything I need without taking up much real estate inside my bag of choice.
A travel-size perfume keeps you smelling good throughout the day and will fit safely inside your purse, but you can also use a mini perfume, which come in even smaller bottles—It’s never not the time to smell sexy. Because it’s my favourite colour, I prefer my pink sunglasses to spice up my look, all while protecting my eyes from the sun’s intense UV.
I make sure to also carry a compact mirror and a signature lipstick for touch-ups. My go-to lip shades are neutral pinks, so I carry the They Met In Argentina Gucci Sheer Lipstick, Fenty Glow Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, and Milk Makeup Werk Lip + Cheek Non-Comedogenic Cream Blush Stick to switch up my options on the go.
AirPods or any headphones are critical to bring with you as an editor. You might be listening to a recorded interview or even just a work playlist, but having some sort of headphones with you comes in handy. Highlighters and pens will prove to be useful more than once, especially when I’m taking notes or going over some last-minute edits—so I just carry at least one of each with me wherever I go.
