Temperley London Summer 2027: A New Chapter Under Jack Isenberg

After more than 25 years, Temperley London is entering a new creative era. Unveiled during London Fashion Week, the Summer 2027 collection marks Jack Isenberg’s debut as Design Director — offering the first glimpse of how he is reimagining the house’s distinctive aesthetic for a new generation.

Rather than breaking with the past, Isenberg turns to the archives, drawing on Temperley’s intricate embroidery, embellishment, and artisanal techniques. Familiar codes, however, take on a different tone: silhouettes become looser and more sensual, while new textures and shapes begin to define his vision for the house.

From Peru to London

The starting point for Summer 2027 was Isenberg’s personal experience of Peru — its landscapes, colours, and artisanal traditions.

Soft pinks and nude tones inspired by Peru’s Pink Lagoon form the foundation of the palette, complemented by flashes of gold and deeper celestial shades that evoke the night sky.

But the connection to Peru extends beyond colour. Traditional materials and natural motifs are translated through Temperley’s contemporary language. The tactile softness associated with alpaca is interpreted through delicate featherwork, while the sculptural form of the coca leaf becomes three-dimensional gold embellishment. The Peruvian Lily appears in intricate three-dimensional threadwork, while scattered star embroidery evokes the night sky.

The Temperley Archive, Reimagined

For his debut collection, Isenberg immersed himself in the Temperley London archive, exploring the embroidery, embellishment, and artisanal techniques that have shaped the house for decades.

Summer 2027, however, is not an exercise in recreating the past.

The collection is conceived as a series of individual pieces, each with its own character. Restrained necklines are opened, blouses loosened, and evening silhouettes become more fluid, revealing more of the body.

The result recalls something of the independent spirit of Temperley London’s earliest years, reinterpreted for today. Romance and ornamentation remain, but feel lighter, freer, and more sensual.

“Summer 2027 represents a new chapter for Temperley London: one that respects the extraordinary legacy of Temperley while beginning to explore a new creative expression,” says Jack Isenberg, Design Director of Temperley London.

For Isenberg, understanding the house’s history — particularly the embroidery and techniques that have made its aesthetic so distinctive — was an essential first step in shaping his own creative direction.

A New Era for Temperley London

Summer 2027 does not attempt to completely reinvent Temperley London — and that appears to be precisely the point. Instead, it marks the beginning of a gradual evolution.

Isenberg preserves the artistry at the heart of Temperley while shifting its proportions, textures, sensuality, and overall mood. The past remains present, but rather than defining what the house should be, it becomes the foundation for where it can go next.
