We are only weeks away from the premiere of Euphoria‘s long awaited third season. One of the most iconic shows of the 2020s has transformed into a movement within the fashion and beauty world. Colourful, glittery makeup looks and disco streetwear inspired wardrobes are cemented into Euphoria‘s legacy. Its bold and unconventional fashion has introduced a new, distinctive style recognized everywhere and named after the series it debuted on. Euphoria is recognized worldwide for breaking boundaries within the makeup and fashion universe and continues to do so with each season release.

The signature Euphoria aesthetic remains constant through each season while also reimagined and refined to echo evolving themes and characters. Each season of Euphoria does not just set tone—it inspires wardrobe staples and makeup revolutions, reviving past trends with a polished and relevant twist.

Season One: Rebel Prep

It is hard to believe that our first glimpse of the now-iconic Euphoria aesthetic arrived more than six years ago, in 2019. At the time of the show’s release, the fashion landscape was dominated by Lululemon leggings and graphic tops—a firmly athleisure-driven moment. Suddenly, Euphoria made its debut in the summer and led the way for 80s inspired outfits catapulting back into mainstream fashion. Euphoria marks a drastic style pivot, ushering fashion out of its skater staples era (mainstream 2018 and 2019 fashion that centered around casual streetwear) and into a feminine focused wardrobe with a layered mix of preppy and grunge looks.

Season Two: Vintage Pop

Season two of Euphoria infused its retro wardrobe with bursts of bright colours, leaning fully into a wave of nostalgia. Drawing on inspiration from the early 2000s revival everyone was craving—along with disco inspired pieces—the season two’s fashion is refreshingly bold and delightfully chaotic! In place of season one’s more minimal patterns, season two embraces individualism by delivering a louder and riskier wardrobe.

Season Three: Noir Haze

Season three premieres on Sunday, April 12 on HBO Max and picks up after a five-year time jump within the show, followed by a striking evolution of beauty and fashion. As the characters step into a more mature chapter, the new season mirrors that shift through its film noir inspired wardrobe. Influenced by Hollywood culture from the 1940s and 1950s, this cinematic aesthetic embraces sophisticated looks as seen in the season three trailer through shadowy palettes.

Early promos show that the OG glitter focused makeup has transformed into something more sophisticated: the film noir makeup emerges in dark, minimal looks, softened with light shimmers that have become a signature of Euphoria. The pivot away from the messy and colourful Euphoria we have come to know deliberately echoes the emotional weight that the characters now carry. The domination of muted tones within season three is not only symbolic of the new rustic setting, but also the characters’ adult realities.

Season three’s high-contrast looks and dark palette are not just striking—they are intentionally reflective of the characters’ deepening complexities as they attempt to navigate adulthood. With every new season, Euphoria secures its reputation as more than just a trendsetter, ushering in a new wave of fashion and beauty.
